Dr. Buegel’s classes count as C.E. credit for Yoga Alliance certification and continuing education requirements.
Saturday, February 29
10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Do you avoid certain poses? Do you not do poses you used to perform? This series is for you. We will explore safe ways to work on the challenges of hatha yoga practice. We will also look at the opportunities to focus on the energetic components of these practices.
Session Two: Inversions and Arm Balances
The key to enjoying inversions and arm balances is preparation. How to safely build upper body strength, especially triceps and pectoralis muscles will be addressed. We will also learn how to prepare the neck as well as the skull and facial sutures to comfortably handle pressure on the top of the skull (rabbit and headstand, for example). Hip flexor lengthening and strengthening with PNF positions will also be taught. This workshop is for those who wish to understand limitations that have made themselves or their students give up on or not even attempt these poses.
Dr. Buegel was a student of Swami Rama and has practiced and taught hatha yoga and meditation for over 40 years in seminars, teacher training programs and specialty workshops.
