Next Meeting Wednesday, March 29th
6:30 pm, about 90 minutes
In-person and via Zoom
Our HYM community is undertaking an 11-month study and practice of the Yamas and Niyamas. These five Restraints (Yamas: non-harming, truthfulness, non-stealing, control of the sensual desires, and non-greediness) and five Observances (Niyamas: purity, contentment, concerted practice, self study, and surrender) serve as guides for our actions, words, and thoughts in relationship to others and ourselves.
We will meet monthly through December to discuss the teachings found in the Yoga Sutras and in Swami Rama’s book “Sadhana Path of Enlightenment”.
This is not an academic undertaking, but an experiential practice. Journaling is highly recommended.
It is never too late to join our group! And even if you can’t attend the meetings you are encouraged to practice with us. We have started a page on our website that will include notes from our meetings, as well as other information we may share between meetings.
